This is a piece of history in Italian gourmet cooking that has been written every day for more than 40 years in Via Ghibellina in Florence, in a seventeenth century Jacometti-Ciofi palazzo. The protagonists here are Annie Feolde that supervises the kitchen that has been directed for years by the Chef Riccardo Monco, and her husband Giorgio Pinchiorri who founded and curates one of the most prestigious cantinas in the world.
The attention given to every detail in the menu recounts Italy and Tuscany in a classic-contemporary slant. Class, tradition, modernity and technique are all united. The service is impeccable and makes the guest feel at the center of a unique dining experience. It is perfect but not fossilized; precise but not formal.
The cantina boasts an extremely extensive selection both in terms of vintages and for variety and rarity of the labels.
On the menu there are 4 antipasti, 7 first courses, 8 second courses, and 5 desserts. They are the house’s great classics, timeless dishes that bear the trademark of a recognizable style. The high prices are in line with the restaurant’s high standards. However, you can also choose a tasting menu; one is called the Scoperta – 7 courses or there is the Contemporaneo with 9 courses. In this way you will spend less than 300 euros per person excluding wine.
The Enoteca Pinchiorri is to international fine dining as a sonnet by Dante is to classic Italian literature.
