Il Verrocchio ci presenta una cucina lineare, basata su ingredienti di territorio e di stagione, la cucina può disporre anche di un buon orto oltre che, basilare, la produzione propria di olio d’oliva. Piatti leggibili, saporiti, gustosi, senza grilli per la testa, in cui gli ingredienti si combinano bene seguendo il principio francese freddo caldo e, quello più moderno, di dolci non troppo zuccherini, ma defaticanti. Presente anche una trattoria tradizionale, l’Oliveto. La struttura è ricavata da una costruzione del 1300 a Candeli e appartiene al gruppo proprietario di Villa D’Este sul lago di Como, controllato dall’imprenditore Giuseppe Fontana, ribattezzato mister Cernobbio. Quello che è emerge nella visita alle due strutture è la stessa filosofia: valorizzare al massimo lo stile della grande ospitalità italiana. Quello che colpisce di questo luogo è la cura del dettaglio, ogni cosa è pensata sul piano estetico e pratico: quello che ci colpisce più di tutto è la filosofia imprenditoriale, ossia riqualificare l’esistente invece di costruire ancora.

There's also a traditional trattoria, called Oliveto. The property is derived from a 1300s building in Candeli and belongs to the group that owns Villa D'Este on Lake Como, controlled by entrepreneur Giuseppe Fontana, who is nicknamed "Mr. Cernobbio." What stands out in the visit to both establishments is the same philosophy: maximizing the style of great Italian hospitality.
