Aperto dalle otto del mattino a notte fonda è il luogo ideale in cui gustare la tipica scaccia ragusana, in cui sorseggiare un cocktail, in cui mangiare un piatto di pasta alle sarde, o in cui fare semplicemente la spesa: dal pane alle conserve firmate Sultano, i Banchi offre una proposta di cucina poliedrica, che si adatta allo scorrere della giornata. Si parte dalle colazioni: qui i lievitati occupano il posto d'onore, perchè i Banchi è prima di tutto panificio che usa farine antiche e selezionate. A pranzo e a cena i piatti di Cannistrà sono curati, isolani: provate lo spaghetto allo scoglio con lenticchia nera e crudo di pesce, o ancora il filetto di vitello affumicato (Az. Alleva Bio di Giuseppe Grasso). La cucina gioca sull'equilibrio tra tecnica e semplicità, ma a fare la differenza sono le eccezionali materie prime selezionate da Sultano. I Banchi is the non-stop establishment of Ciccio Sultano and Peppe Cannnistrà. Open from eight in the morning until late at night. It is the ideal place to taste the typical scaccia from Ragusa, or to sip a cocktail, to eat a plate of pasta with sardines, or to simply buy some delicacies. Ranging from the bread to the Sultano preserves.  I Banchi offers a multifaceted cuisine that adapts on a day-to-day basis. It starts with breakfast: here the leavened products occupy a place of honor, because I Banchi is, first of all, a bakery that uses attentively selected flours. The same flours used in the old days. At lunch and dinner, Cannistrà's dishes are well prepared, islander-style. Worth trying is the spaghetti with seafood, black lentils, and raw fish; or the smoked veal fillet (from “Alleva Bio” by Giuseppe Grasso). This cuisine plays on the balance between technique and simplicity, but what makes the difference are the exceptional raw materials selected by Sultano. The service is professional and polite. An excellent range of wines and innovative cocktails complete the offer.
